How to Practice Exercises During Quarantine?

In times as complicated as the pandemic we are experiencing, it is necessary to practice self-isolation and social detachment. This basically means: no parties, meetings, trips and, worse, gym.

It turns out that most people only exercise at specific times, and outside the home, through gyms, group classes, fitness studios, etc.

So, the question that doesn’t stop is: how can we stay active and healthy without leaving home? Well, stay with us to find out.

How to maintain physical exercises during quarantine?
Use technology
Even before the pandemic, a trend that was increasingly winning people’s hearts was that of apps / video gym classes. After this outbreak of the new coronavirus, then, we don’t even talk about it.

Several gyms and personal trainers, in an attempt to adapt to the new reality, started offering daily FREE with online classes on their social networks.

So, no soft body! Look for profiles and companies that offer this type of service in a SAFE and LEGITIMATE way, and get to work!

Search for alternative methods
There are several exercises that can be done at home and are very good for your health. The most common examples are jumping rope, practicing yoga and stretching, dancing, going up / down stairs, etc.

However, remember: for each of these activities, use safe and quality materials. Invest, too, in clothes and shoes appropriate for each activity and, if necessary, ask for guidance from someone who is more used to doing this type of practice, or even from a professional.

Equip your home
If you have enough space, you can rent or buy a series of gym equipment and equipment such as treadmills, stationary bikes, weights, rubber bands, etc. However, never fail to ask a professional for guidance on how to do the exercises correctly. After all, nobody wants to leave that quarantine with an injury.

Recommendations for exercise outside the home
Attention: it is important to emphasize that our team, for now, still advises that everyone stays at home. However, if you decide to get out of isolation, follow the tips below very carefully and carefully.

Walk the dog: choose very airy and spacious places, and keep at least 1.5 m away from other people. Wear a mask all the way and, when you get home, leave your shoes at the entrance, clean the pet’s paws well and take a shower. Try to touch as few things as possible while wearing the clothes you used to go out.
Take a bike ride: the same tips/recommendations above apply for a good ride in the late afternoon. In fact, many people who own large animals ride with them strapped to their bikes. Also, do not forget to clean the bicycle and the protective devices you use during the activity (gloves, elbow pads, knee pads, helmet, goggles, etc.).
Running and/or walking: as long as you follow all the recommendations to protect yourself from the new coronavirus

Remember that practicing physical exercises during isolation is extremely important for our health, but there is no point in killing jumping jacks when you don’t eat well or take care of your emotional.

So, don’t forget to keep a balanced diet rich in nutrients, and be sure to do a little of what you like and keep in touch (online, of course) with those you love.
