When a person starts to practice the Method created by Joseph Pilates, he always asks when the results in Pilates will start to appear. This is because much is said about the various benefits that the practice can guarantee. In addition, immediacy is the buzzword for most Pilates beginners – and for today’s lifestyle.

It is very common to hear phrases like: ‘’ when will I stop feeling pain? ’’, ‘‘ Am I going to lose weight with Pilates? ’’, ‘’ When will I be able to do advanced exercises? ’’.

These are just some of the typical phrases of most beginner Pilates, who demonstrate the anxiety to conquer a new body and evolve within the Method as soon as possible. However, it is important to remember that nothing is achieved overnight, that is, nobody loses weight in a healthy way in two days, does not define the body, and does not learn to control it in such a short time. Contrology work is difficult, and it takes patience and perseverance to achieve Pilates results, which are many. You will now understand how to achieve Pilates results on time and what are the reasons that interfere with this achievement.

How soon will the results of Pilates begin to appear?

When a person seeks the results of Pilates, he must take into account that no Pilate is equal to the other.

As such, there will always be controversy about when Pilates results will begin to emerge. The Pilates Method has several advantages, as it can be practiced by anyone, two to three times a week.

For those who practice the Method regularly, the results will start to appear after about a month and a half, however, they will not be aesthetic results, but for health.

The first results that we can observe, in the first sessions are the improvement in flexibility, improvement in posture, and reduction of abdominal circumference.

Flexibility is a valence that presents rapid adaptation since most beginner exercises are aimed at stretching the posterior chain. This characteristic exists due to the need for flexibility for the evolution in the complexity of the exercises. The progression in the method is dependent on a better range of articular movement.

The improvement in posture is a consequence of improved flexibility together with a strengthening of the abdominal section and gaining body awareness through the principles of the Method.

What can make Pilates results difficult?

There are some factors that can influence the delay in achieving Pilates results.

Among these factors, we can mention some aspects such as poor diet, few hours of sleep, dehydration, excessive physical activities, and use of medications.

In each case, barriers have been created that end up preventing the human being from gaining the benefits of the Method, thus generating some difficulties.

Look for a good professional who has a special look for your body and that you trust.
Be patient and respect your rhythm, the challenges increase according to the response of our body, we have steps to follow.
Be sure, if you are not assiduous the result will not arrive, whatever it may be. So, do not blame the method if you are unable to achieve your goals but live talking in class.
Have good habits like a good diet, a good night’s sleep, hydration (drink lots of water), leisure time, and maintain your mental health.
Respect your individuality, you are unique and there is no one like you and your body in the entire universe.
